Усатов Дмитрий Андреевич

Усатов Дмитрий Андреевич (1847—1913 гг.) — певец (тенор) и вокальный педагог. Отец и мать Усатова — выходцы из слободы Алексеевки Бирюченского уезда. В Алексеевке прошли детские и отроческие годы будущего музыканта, пел в Алексеевском хоре. После освобождения от крепостной зависимости Д. Усатов смог поступить в 1868 г. в Петербургскую консерваторию, которую окончил в 1873 г. с серебряной медалью. В со­ставе частной оперной труппы ездил по стране, а в 1880 г. приглашен в Большой театр, на сцене которого выступал почти десять лет.
Д. А. Усатов был первым учителем Ф. И. Шаляпи­на. Великий певец с большой теплотой вспоминает о нем в книге «Страницы моей жизни».
