Евгеньев-Максимов Владислав Евгеньевич

Евгеньев-Максимов (настоящая фамилия Максимов) Владислав Евгеньевич — литературовед, исследователь творчества Н. А. Некрасова. Родился 6 (18) сентября 1883 г. в с. Демидовка Суджанского уезда Курской гу­бернии (ныне в Ракитянском районе Белгородской об­ласти) в семье сельского учителя. Учился в Демидовской сельской школе и Суджанской мужской гимназии. После окончания Петербургского университета преподавал в средних учебных заведениях и сотрудничал в журнале «Русское богатство». С 1920 г. — преподаватель, затем профессор Ленинградского университета.
Еще в студенческие годы он подготовил доклад «Ли­тературные дебюты Н. А. Некрасова», который получил одобрение сокурсника поэта Александра Блока. После Октябрьской революции вышли книги: «Некрасов как человек, журналист и поэт» (1928), «Некрасов в кругу современников» (1938), «Жизнь и деятельность Н. А. Не­красова» (тт. 1—3, 1947—1952). Евгеньев-Максимов — один из редакторов полного собрания сочинений Некра­сова, по его инициативе и при активном участии созда­вались первые музеи поэта в Ленинграде и Карабихе.
Автор ряда работ по истории русской журналистики: «Очерки по истории социалистической журналистики в России XIX века» (1927), «Из прошлого русской жур­налистики» (1930) и трех книг о журнале «Современник». Во время Великой Отечественной войны в блокадном Ленинграде Евгеньев-Максимов продолжал читать лек­ции в университете, выступал в воинских частях и госпи­талях.
Научная и общественная деятельность ученого отме­чена высшей наградой — орденом Ленина. Умер в Ле­нинграде 1 января 1955 г.
