Лебединский горно-обогатительный комбинат

Лебединский горно-обогатительный комбинат — пред­приятие по добыче и обогащению железистых кварци­тов Лебединского месторождения КМА. Находится на окраине г. Губкина. Первый ГОК в бассейне КМА. Строительство его началось осенью 1967 г. В 1968 г. бюро ЦК ВЛКСМ объявило ГОК Всесоюзной ударной комсомольской стройкой. С 1970 г. в строительстве Ле­бединского ГОКа участвуют группы молодых рабочих из Болгарской Народной Республики. В 1972 г. вступи­ла в строй первая очередь комбината мощностью 7,5 млн. тонн сырой железной руды и 3,35 млн. тонн кон­центрата в год. 21 декабря, в день открытия в Москве торжественного заседания, посвященного 50-летию обра­зования Союза ССР, первый эшелон Лебединского кон­центрата был отправлен на Липецкий металлургический завод.
Сооружение Лебединского ГОКа завершилось в но­ябре 1976 г. Комсомольская организация треста КМА-рудстрой была занесена в Летопись комсомольской сла­вы ВЛКСМ. В мае 1982 г. на ГОКе вступила в строй фабрика дообогащения концентрата, которая произво­дит концентрат с содержанием не менее 70 процентов железа для Оскольского электро металлур­гического комбината.
