Борисенко Антон Николаевич

Борисенко Антон Николаевич — активный участник гражданской войны. Родился в 1889 г. в с. Гора-Подол под Грайвороном в семье батрака. Участвовал в первой мировой войне. Вскоре после свержения само­державия солдаты избрали его председателем полкового комитета.
Весной 1918 г., вернувшись в родные места, создал красногвардейский отряд для охраны Грайворона и уез­да. Отряд влился в состав 5-го Курского советского пол­ка. В боях под Симбирском и станцией Абрамовка Борисенко был дважды тяжело ранен. Возвратившись в Грайворон, работал заместителем председателя уезд­ного исполкома. Летом 1919 г. во время наступления деникинцев Борисенко возглавил формирование Грайворон с кого революционного полка.
В годы гражданской войны Борисенко командовал полком, был комбригом, комдивом. За героические дей­ствия при освобождении Донбасса награжден серебря­ными часами, в ноябре 1920 г. комбриг Борисенко удо­стоен высшей награды Республики — ордена Красного Знамени. За умелое руководство войсками и личное Му­жество, проявленные при взятии Тифлиса (Тбилиси), наш земляк получил второй орден Красного Знамени.
Продолжая служить в Красной Армии, Борисенко был начальником школы червонных старшин в Харько­ве, избирался членом ЦИК Украины, с 1928 г. командо­вал стрелковой дивизией в Киеве. В 1932 г. на базе ди­визии был сформирован механизированный корпус, и Борисенко стал комкором.
В 1938 г. А. Н. Борисенко стал жертвой сталинского беззакония. Реабилитирован посмертно.
