Платонов Андрей Платонович

Платонов (настоящая фамилия Климентов) Андрей Платонович (1899—1951 гг.) — русский советский пи­сатель. Родился в Воронеже в семье слесаря железно­дорожных мастерских. Участник гражданской и Великой Отечественной войн, был специальным корреспондентом газеты «Красная звезда». Автор талантливых повестей «Епифанские шлюзы», «Город Градов», «Сокровенный человек», романов «Река Потудань», «Чевенгур», «Кот­лован». Лучшие его произведения вошли в сокровищни­цу отечественной литературы.
В 1923—1926 гг. работал в Воронежской губернии мелиоратором и руководил работами по электрификации села. С 1924 г. возглавил отдел мелиорации Воронеж­ского губернского земельного управления. В середине сентября 1924г. выезжал в Валуйки, чтобы на месте устранить отставание в проведении мелиоративных работ. Об этой поездке тогда же было рассказано на страницах губернской газеты «Воронежская коммуна».
